Who can become a PTA member?
Any family of a current Leitch Elementary student or any current teacher/staff/administrator.
How do I become a member?

Do I have to pay for each child?
No, your dues cover all children in your immediate household.
Does Membership require a fixed time commitment with PTA?
Not at all! The only requirement to be a member of the PTA s to pay the annual membership dues. Beyond that you can choose how to help the PTA. Your help in terms of money or time will help enhance the student experience!
PTA tries to put together events throughout the year. We encourage you to volunteer couple of hours at the events of your choice.
Can I attend meetings if I am not a PTA member?
You are always welcome to attend the meetings! However, only PTA members can take up officer roles, have a right to vote in the meeting and receive meeting minutes and updates about the finances.
Where does the money go?
Most of the money goes towards grade level teachers. In addition to this, money may be spent on the educational subscriptions that teachers want. The amount we can provide to the grade and teachers is dependent on the donations we are able to collect at the start of the year. The money also goes towards different events done for students and teachers during the year( eg Carnival, assemblies, teachers lunches)
